I love being part of the dental profession because I get to combine my interests in art and science while helping my patients obtain beautiful smiles. Practicing orthodontics is a passion of mine. One of my favorite parts about being an orthodontist is getting to know each patient and being there for them every step of the way.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I attended the University of California, Los Angeles for my undergraduate education. I graduated from UCLA in 2000, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology with Honors. I then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2005. After graduation, I moved to Colorado and completed my orthodontic specialty training at the University of Colorado, Denver. During my orthodontic training, I received an advanced certification in Invisalign® treatment and attended numerous lectures on orthodontic mini-screw implants, along with completing an extensive research project on digital modeling for orthodontic treatment plans.
In addition to my formal education, I continue to attend orthodontic and dental conferences annually because I feel that it is of utmost importance to keep up to date on the innovative practices and technologies in the dental field. I am also an active member of a number of local and national dental organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
I enjoy enhancing my orthodontic knowledge by pursuing the most advanced and proven techniques the orthodontic profession has to offer. In return, I am able to provide my patients with the best care in a compassionate manner.
I recently got married to my wonderful husband, Scott, who like me is a native of Los Angeles. Although Southern California will always be our home, we love to travel both near and far. When we are not working, Scott and I like to explore new restaurants, watch sporting events and movies, and joke about our crosstown rivalry (Go Bruins!). I also love to dance, paint, and spend time with my family and friends.
